Ingredients
1-2 medium cans of tuna in oil
3 cups of cooked rice
2 handfuls of green peas
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
Toppings
Toasted sunflower seeds or nuts to serve
2 green onions (scallions) chopped

PREPARATION

For a quick and satisfying meal packed with protein, Tuna Fried Rice is a great way to incorporate fish into your diet. The recipe is great for teen cooks because it is a fun way to make a fast beginner meal.

  1. Heat a generous amount of oil in a large frying pan or wok.
  2. Add tuna, rice and peas and stir fry for a few minutes until everything is hot.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in soy sauce. Taste and add extra soy as needed.
  4. Serve hot rice topped with green onions and nuts (optional)
  5. Refrigerate leftovers!
