Sari Vatske, President and Chief Executive Officer

Sari Vatske joined the Central Texas Food Bank in June of 2022 as the sixth President and CEO in our 40-year history. An experienced food bank executive, Sari came to the Central Texas Food Bank from Feeding South Florida (FSF)—the country's fifth largest food bank—where she was Executive Vice President. Sari sits on the Board of Directors for Feeding Texas, the Austin-Travis County Food Policy Board, the Austin/Travis and Williamson Counties Emergency Food & Shelter Program and the Food Sourcing Advisory Council.

During her tenure with Feeding South Florida, Sari was named a “Top 100 Most Influential Business Leaders” by Palm Beach Illustrated Magazine in 2021, “Top Workplace Professional” by the Sun-Sentinel in 2016 and was named to “40 Under 40” by the South Florida Business journal in 2014. Sari was also a member of the Feeding America Fundraising Services Advisory Council, a member of the City of Boynton Beach's Affordable Housing Committee, and advisor to the Health and Wellness Committee for the Broward County School District.

Prior to joining FSF in July of 2011, Sari served as the Florida Regional Manager for No Kid Hungry, a Washington, D.C.-based organization working to end childhood hunger in the United States. Also prior to joining FSF, from 2006-2008, she served as the District Press Secretary for a United States Congresswoman.

Sari holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University. She also has a certificate in High Performance Leadership from Cornell University and is a Six Sigma Green Belt as well as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

In her free time, she loves spending time with her rescue bulldog, doing anything outdoors, traveling, and is a huge sports fan, especially of the New York Giants.

 

Todd Frease, Chief Financial Officer

Todd Frease, Chief Financial Officer

Todd is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in accounting, finance and operations within the grocery and distribution industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who has led and managed complex and diverse business divisions and functions including international operations. He has a proven track record of delivering value, efficiency and growth to his customers, partners and stakeholders.

Prior to his role as CFO of the Food Bank, Todd was the Chief Executive Officer and President of McLane Global, a 50-year-old, family-owned, global food and logistics company. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the international and domestic divisions, as well as the administrative and finance functions. He successfully managed through a reorganization of the company prior to departing to pursue his passion for accounting and finance. Todd joined McLane Global in 2006 as the Chief Financial Officer and held various senior positions, including Senior Vice President of McLane Global Logistics. Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years at The Kroger Co. in roles including Assistant Corporate Controller and Director of Finance. Todd graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a BA in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Mathematics. He is passionate about integrating finance and accounting functions into the business to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.

 

Earind Jackson, Chief Impact Officer

Earind Jackson, Chief Impact Officer

Earind brings nearly two decades of remarkable achievement in the social impact sector to her role as Chief Impact Officer for the Food Bank. Her expertise lies in enhancing organizational capacity, nurturing high-performing teams and crafting impactful programs. In this position, Earind leads the Food Bank’s network, direct-service and culinary programs.

She holds a Master of Divinity and a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University and certifications in Nonprofit Management and Community and Economic Development from esteemed institutions Duke University and Harvard Divinity School Summer Leadership Institute. She most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer with the Girl Scouts of Central Texas.

Earind is a Leadership Waco and Leadership Austin graduate, a member of The Junior League of Austin, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is an engaged member of her local faith community.

 

Mark Jackson, Chief Development Officer

Mark Jackson, Chief Development Officer

Mark joined the Food Bank in 2010, leading the fundraising, marketing, and volunteer resource efforts of the organization. His team inspires the community to provide resources to nourish our most vulnerable neighbors and allow the Food Bank to grow to meet the need for support in Central Texas.

Before joining the Food Bank, he graduated with a BA from the University of Colorado and started his career working in sales and marketing for international sports medicine company Ottobock. Mark transitioned to the non-profit sector to serve as Development Director at Project Transitions, a Food Bank Partner Agency that provides hospice and housing support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. He has over 10 years of non-profit leadership experience.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling around the world with his wife.

 

Catrina Salinas, Chief People Officer

Catrina Salinas, Chief Talent Officer 

Catrina Salinas assumed the role of Chief Talent Officer at the Food Bank in 2018. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s culture, strengthening its talent base and fostering team engagement all in service of the Food Bank’s mission to end hunger.

Boasting two decades of expertise in human resources, Catrina's professional journey spans a variety of industries, encompassing medical, financial, and technology sectors. She holds a Master of Arts in Training and Performance Improvement from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.

Beyond her contributions to the Food Bank, Catrina dedicates her time as a Board Member for Explore Austin, further showcasing her commitment to community service.

Outside of her professional commitments, Catrina cherishes moments with her son and finds joy in activities like cooking, exploring new restaurants, engaging in outdoor pursuits and passionately supporting the Longhorns.
