At the Central Texas Food Bank, we feel that it’s not just important to provide food to our neighbors in need, it’s also important that the food helps them live healthier lives. For families struggling to make ends meet, getting fresh produce can be challenging, due to the cost or lack of availability in low-income food deserts.
Families in need know they can turn to the Food Bank for food to help them stay healthy. The Food Bank strives to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to families to help them reach their full potential. We need your help to bridge the gap in fresh produce we experience during the spring months.
During Amplify Austin, a 24-hour day of giving, you can support your neighbors with nutritious food that they would otherwise have to do without. Help us raise enough to provide fresh produce for 4,500 families of four for one month.
Don’t wait until the day of giving, on March 1-2, to make your donation. Pre-schedule your donation today and mark one more thing off your to do list.

See how fresh produce is helping your neighbors:
“We’ve gotten a lot of fruits and vegetables and that’s what I appreciate and what I like from here. We get plenty so it lasts us a long time. We make it stretch, too. To me, it’s been real helpful and a blessing to our family.”
“We get nutritious food without having to spend a lot of money on food. It allows us to pay on our bills better, meet other expenses, and pay for our prescription drugs.”
“I am diabetic and that fresh produce is heavenly, it’s wonderful. It helps me with my diet; we eat so healthy it’s unreal."
