One in six Central Texans are at risk of hunger and during Hunger Action Month in September, you can help raise awareness and take action in the fight against hunger.
Our community supporters, Montucky Cold Snacks and Half Step, are joining together with their Hops for Hunger Campaign to make a difference in the lives of families facing hunger during Hunger Action Month. From September 11 to September 24, for every can of Montucky Cold Snacks sold at Half Step, Montucky will donate $0.25 to be matched equally by Half Step, for a total donation of $0.50 to the Food Bank. Individuals can participate when they stop by Half Step located at 75 1/2 Rainey St. Austin, TX 78701.
Though Montucky Cold Snacks is based in Montana, the beer company donates eight percent of its profits to local charities in various states. The Food Bank is one of the nonprofits that individuals can choose to donate to through Montucky.
