Giving Family Greater Meaning This Holiday Season

Dec13

Austin’s largest family-owned air conditioning, heating and energy conservation company, McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning, is a longstanding supporter of the Central Texas Food Bank. Leading with a culture of service, McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning has a long history of working with Austin-area nonprofits to help make our community a better place to call home.

Recently, McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning committed to providing a matching grant to conclude the holiday giving season, with the aim of inspiring generosity throughout our community. With one in seven individuals and one in five children experiencing food insecurity in Central Texas, contributions made in response to the McCullough match help secure access to essential nourishment for our neighbors.

This matching grant opportunity arrives at a crucial time when the Food Bank is witnessing an increase in demand, approaching levels observed during the pandemic. On top of the existing need, rent will soon be due for many of our food-insecure neighbors, further straining already tight budgets.

Investing in the health of our community has a lasting impact, the benefits of which can be seen beyond the Austin area. Thanks to dedicated community partners like McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning, the Food Bank is equipped to provide nutritious food and grocery items through a network of nearly 300 Partner Agencies and nutritious programs across Central Texas. Fueled by the generosity of our community, neighbors facing hunger across 21 Central Texas counties have access to food and resources when they most need it.

The contribution from McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning supports the Food Bank’s crucial work to end hunger in Central Texas. Thank you, McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning, for helping connect the most vulnerable among us with nutritious food and making tomorrow possible.
