3rd Annual Austin NerdCave Showcase 2016

Local cartoonists and comic book artists come together to showcase their talents in a vending style atmosphere at the Third Annual Austin NerdCave Showcase. Comic books and cartoons will alsom come to life with live bands and disc jockeys performing super hero inspired music. This year’s performers include Johnny HackNSlash, The Millepede, Josh Krow, Crayondroids, Bad Barry and DJ R.O.C.K.M.A.N. The event will also feature an interview with internet show host and artist Gemmi Galactic. In case anyone misses it, there will be a live podcast of the event by Punching the Walls of Reality.

After learning about the Austin Reggae Fest’s Sunday cancellation that meant a $100,000 loss for hungry families in Central Texas, the event organizers were inspired to help raise money through the event. Admission is $5 and proceeds will benefit the Food Bank. The showcase will be held at Spider House Café and Ballroom on May 22 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
