Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive Kicks Off at Anderson High School

Jan14

Students, faculty and our partners gathered Friday at Anderson High School to officially “tackle hunger” with the Souper Bowl of Caring fundraising drive. This is the largest youth celebration of giving in the nation and also the largest food drive we have all year long.

Clara Cooper, president and CEO of Souper Bowl of Caring, explains how important this food drive is to us and the Central Texas families who turn to us in their time of need.

There are many ways you can use the energy and excitement around the Big Game to get involved and make a difference:

  1. Donate at your local HEB, Central Market and Randall’s stores by purchasing a pre-packaged bag or dropping off your donations at the store.  You can also donate cash at the register.

  2. Donate at your doorstep. Look for a flier delivered to your home on Saturday, Jan. 25, from the Capitol Area Council Boy Scouts, and follow the instructions to have a Boy Scout pick up your donation on Feb. 1.

  3. Host a food drive at your school, business or house of worship. Click here to register your group online. It’s easy, and they are a lot of great resources to help make your drive a success.

Help us meet our goal of raising 1.3 million meals for Central Texans in need. All donations directly benefit the Food Bank and the Partner Agencies that need our help to stock their shelves and serve their community.

Souper Bowl of Caring ends Feb. 2.
