Summer Jam Remix means a day out in the sun with family, friends, and neighbors jamming to live music and enjoying good food. Attendees can expect to see music acts from Kendra Christel, Mirage and The Wooly Vicars. Though the Summer Jam Remix seems like a new festival, it’s known in the past as the East Austin Community Fall Festival. After learning about the Food Bank’s loss from the rained out Reggae Festival and knowing our busiest season is right around the corner, the fall festival event organizers decided to move the festival date to the summer.
The summer festival is getting a head start supporting the Food Bank and placing food donation boxes around Austin businesses starting June 1. They will also be collecting food and monetary donations during the Summer Jam Remix. For those who can’t attend the event, they can make a monetary donation anytime through their virtual food drive here. The free, family-friendly event will be held at Space 12 on July 9, from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
