Souper Bowl of Caring 2019

It’s time to start gearing up for the Souper Bowl. No, not with sports equipment, but with a food drive. With the big game coming up, help tackle hunger in Central Texas through the annual Souper Bowl of Caring food drive. This nationwide campaign uses anticipation for the championship game to encourage people to donate food and funds to help their local community end hunger. Over the past five years, this initiative has raised more than 8 million meals. Help us raise millions of meals this year. The campaign begins on January 4, 2019, and kicks off January 8, 2019 at Veritas Academy. The food drive will continue through the big game on Sunday, February 3, 2019. 

It's simple to get involved

One in six Central Texans struggle to find their next meal. Join the team for those in need and tackle hunger through Souper Bowl of Caring. It’s simple. Conduct a food drive, volunteer, buy pre-packaged groceries or make a cash donation at over 75 participating Central Market, H-E-B or Randall store locations throughout Central Texas. 100 percent of donations benefit local area hunger-relief charities, including Central Texas Food Bank. Every dollar you donate helps us provide four meals to families in need.

Souper Bowl of Caring is a nationwide, grassroots movement utilizing the energy and enthusiasm leading up to Super Bowl weekend to mobilize youth to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities. To learn more, click HERE.

Step up your game

You don’t have to do this alone. Encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same. Take it a step further and get a team together to register with Souper Bowl of Caring and help your community through the Central Texas Food Bank. Have a friendly competition food drive and get creative. When you register, you will receive free resource materials to help you have a successful food drive.

Take it further as a volunteer

The Central Texas Food Bank serves 21 counties in Central Texas. Collecting donations is only half the work. We rely on volunteers to help us distribute all your donations. Without our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to serve the nearly 46,000 people we help every week. We appreciate all of our volunteers' time and dedication.
