WIC ( Women Infants and Children) Program
The WIC (Women, Infants and Children) nutrition program was created to help low-income women at nutritional risk and their children to eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. It provides vouchers for specific nutritious foods such as formula, milk, cheese, juice, cereal, and peanut butter as well as nutrition education and help accessing health care. Households with incomes at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty income level, or $38,200 for a family of four, are eligible.
