All training and conferences are free of charge.
Food Handler's Civil Rights Training & Orientation
CAFB Partner Agencies must have at least one staff member or volunteer attend the CAFB Orientation/Civil Rights/Food Handling class annually.
Local classes are held in the CAFB Community Room on the 3rd Thursday of each month and off-site classes are every other month. For more information or to sign up, please contact the Agency Relations Department at 512-282-2111 ext. 204 or e-mail ctraynor@secondharvest.org.

Burnout Training
Have you noticed your staff or volunteers feeling less passionate about their jobs? Is cynicism and judgmental behavior taking over your organization? Web-Order Training
Learn how to order food from Harvest Center online. This training lasts 30 minutes and is conducted via phone. To schedule a training, e-mail Cissy Traynor, at ctraynor@austinfoodbank.org.
Empower Hour (and a half)
Spend an hour and a half with Food Bank staff and a guest speaker on a variety of topics designed to support your Agency's mission. Lunch is provided. RSVP to Cissy Traynor at ctraynor@austinfoodbank.org.
Hunger Roundtables
Agencies and individuals interested in fighting hunger are invited to join CAFB representatives to find out how they can feed more hungry people in their community. Hunger Roundtables are conducted in counties identified by CAFB as having the greatest need for emergency food assistance. Network with agencies and individuals serving your community and identify potential new agencies to partner with. Lunch is provided.
Partner Agency Conference
TBA Enjoy a fun-filled day of networking with fellow Agencies, attend informative workshops, and be appreciated for all of the hard work you do for the community. Hot lunch is provided. |
