Why meals?

We are technology companies.  We like to measure our outcomes. We love metrics.  To capture the total impact of this campaign, we are using the Capital Area Food Bank's formula for meals provided.

Amazingly, for every $1 donated, the Capital Area Food bank can provide 5 meals for hungry families in Central Texas.

As a baseline, the original Hunger Bytes partners provided 3.4 million meals in 2007 to the community.  Our goal for 2008: 3.75 million meals.

Now that is a recipe for success!
