TRAVIS COUNTY SMART PROGRAM

The SMART Program is a substance abuse treatment facility for probationers lasting approximately 8 weeks, including an aftercare component of 6 months. (Official agency is Travis County Community Supervision and Corrections Dept. Supervision and Monitoring for Alcohol-Related Treatment SMART Program.) Client offenses include DWI and drug possession and for clients previously in a treatment program. 

Selected SMART program volunteers participate in a nine to eleven week Warehouse Training Program at the Food Bank that gives them solid knowledge and training of general warehousing.
