The St. John Community Food Center is designed to serve as a model for not just Austin, but also our nation's food banks. This pantry serves on average 150 families each week through the client choice system. The Food Bank offers additional development opportunities such as social services assistance to help move clients toward personal sustainability and away from needing day-to-day emergency food assistance. This pantry is part of a collaborative effort with For The City and other nonprofits providing complementary services for low-income clients.
