Student Volunteer
The Food Bank is a fun and rewarding place for students to volunteer and give back to our community. Volunteer to receive school credit, as part of a school project, with a group of friends or to complete community service requirements. Just fill out and submit a profile online. We will contact you as soon as possible to set up a time. Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult.
We will provide you with an individual timesheet to keep track of your hours. However, because of the large number of student requests, we're unable to grant personal interviews, fill out school-required paperwork or write performance letters.
Volunteers are essential to our mission to end hunger in Central Texas, and we appreciate your interest in joining us in that mission! For more information, check out CAFB's history, hunger statistics and news.
"I just have to say “Thank You!” to the Capital Area Food Bank for offering a great opportunity for our students to learn and develop their work skills in a friendly environment and for all the other needed services they supply."
