Community Service
Fulfilling Hours at CAFB
If you have a community service requirement from a judge, an attorney, through the courts or probation or as a result of a disciplinary action at school, please plan to attend the Community Service Orientation before beginning your assignment. Orientation sessions are held at the Food Bank on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please contact the Food Bank to verify your assignment and register for an orientation. You will receive credit hours for attending.
CAFB requires a minimum of 60 mandated hours for court-appointed volunteers 18 and older. For minors under the age of 18, the minimum is 20 mandated hours.
To register, fill out the online registration form or call 512.282.2111 X116. The Capital Area Food Bank of Texas is located at 8201 S. Congress in Austin, Texas, one mile south of the intersection of South Congress and William Cannon Drive. CAFB is on bus route 201, Southpark Meadows.
