REQUEST A TOUR

Learn how the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas distributes millions of pounds of nutritious food to hungry Central Texans with a behind the scenes look at our warehouse. No matter what your interest, from pledging financial support to volunteering, or from sponsoring a food and fund drive to simply wanting to learn more about the problems of hunger and poverty in Central Texas, CAFB is pleased to show you how our mission comes to life through the operations in our warehouse.  Contact the Food Bank to schedule a warehouse tour Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for your business, faith-based group, civic organization, youth group or classroom today.

Please fill out the information below and a staff member will contact you to make arrangements. We recommend all tour requests be submitted 1 -2 weeks prior to the desired date. Once we receive your online registration form, we will send you an email confirmation within 1 – 2 business days and will respond to your tour request within one business week if we are able to accommodate for your tour. If we are unable to fulfill your request, please consider touring the Food Bank online through our Virtual Tour.

Tour Rules and Guidelines

• All participants must be wearing close toed shoes: No shoes with open toes or heels (no sandals). 
• Personal food and drink are not allowed in the warehouse.
• Please no horseplay, running, wrestling, jumping, etc. in the warehouse.
• Cell phone use is prohibited in the warehouse.
• Children 15 and under must be accompanied by their supervising adult at all times.
• Do not sit on, lean over, or “play” with the conveyor or roller table in Product Recovery.
• Carpooling is recommended on the day of the event.
