Central Texas Food Bank offers a variety of food access programs for our neighbors in need. Elijah Coleman, an Order Clerk, collaborates with teams across the organization to facilitate the smooth flow of food from order placement to delivery.
The Food Bank Ambassador Program gives this dedicated volunteer the opportunity to support her community and network with like-minded young professionals.

On January 24, 2024, the Central Texas Food Bank celebrated the launch of its first school pantry, located at Creedmoor Elementary School in Del Valle, as part of the Feeding Futures School Pantry Program.
As a nation, we observed Martin Luther King Jr. Day, prompting a thoughtful reflection on his vision for a compassionate and just society. In keeping with the spirit of Dr. King's enduring legacy, the Central Texas Food Bank actively exemplified the principles of service and community support in areas beyond our mission to end hunger. Our commitment to uplifting the community and fostering a spirit of unity, much like Dr. King, remains steadfast.
Omar recently moved to Austin to build a better future for his children and to find more job opportunities. Due to the economic pressures that many Texans are facing, his family can’t afford to keep nutritious food on the table, food that is essential in helping Omar create the happy, healthy life for his family that he originally moved to Austin to pursue. With support from the Central Texas Food Bank Mobile Pantry Program, he can receive the food and supplies to thrive.
